The Maple Grove Arts Council is pleased to be working with the current Miss Maple Grove, Charity Bess, whose goal is, like ours, to enhance the arts in Maple Grove. Charity's special area is ARTS EDUCATION. There will be opportunities this year for the public to meet Charity at our events. |
-Our Mission Statement -
The Maple Grove Arts Council, a non-profit organization founded in 1998, serves to enhance the fast growing community with all art disciplines through awareness, appreciation and participation of the arts. The Council promotes the community's unique art culture through events such as the autumn art fair and the growing student art show. A goal of the Council is to bring Maple Grove a Center for the Arts in the next five to ten years.
- Our Vision -
Our goal is to bring the arts to everyone in the community, regardless of their level of experience, with the help of those artists who have mastered their genre. A goal that we continue to work towards is a Center for the Arts in Maple Grove. Our hope is that such a center will help establish Maple Grove as an important artistic and cultural center in Minnesota. Visit "Our Dream" for more information.
We are a young organization who is excited to see the arts scene grow in Maple Grove! We invite you to join us as we expand our horizons in the visual, performing and literary arts.
"To create one's own world in any of the arts takes courage."
- Georgia O'Keeffe, 20th Century American Painter
